At Davis Cup 2012 - Asia/ Oceania Group I, Uzbekistan

Indian Davis Cup Team
Leander Paes, Rohan Bopanna, Yuki BHambri, Sanam Singh
Non-playing Captain - Shiv-Prakash Misra
Coach: Nandan Bal

Reserved player - Vishnu Vardhan

AITA announced Indian Davis Cup team for upcoming tie against Uzbekistan ... Somdev Devvarman is injured (mostly operation on his shoulder injury) so left out of the team ... Mahesh Bhupathi decided to opt out of this tie ... This will give chance to AITA to test new pairing of Paes/Bopanna before Olympics ... For Singles Yuki Bhambri and Sanam Singh r added in the team ... Vishnu Vardhan is named reserved player.

Surprised to see Sanam named as second singles player ahead of Vishnu and Karan ... Vishnu was decent in our last tie against Japan and Karan having very good record against Istomin ... AITA must go with current form of Sanam but frankly he still need to prove himself in foreign condition in the futures ... Vishnu was better choice in the team despite his recent poor form.
