India wins dramatic season finale

Narain Karthikeyan won A1 GP Feature race in Brands Hatch!!!

Amazing race which started from good performance in Feature race qualifying, where we grabbed our first-ever pole position ... This was our second race win of the season.

Congratulation to Narain Karthikeyan and Team India for their first-ever top 10 finish in A1 GP season.

[R1] RAO Sunitha (IND,156) vs (WC) SPREM Karolina (CRO,270)

This is very tough draw for Sunitha, as Karolina Sprem is on comeback trail after a year break ... In second event after her comeback at Amelia Island tournament (on April 7th), she entered into the maindraw defeating #103 Julie Ditty & #117 Olga Puchkova in qualifying and defeated #36 Ai Sugiyama & #10 Daniela Hantuchova in first 2 rounds and then lost close match against Lindsay Davenport ... And importantly Amelia Island tournament was on clay.

Really interesting to see Sunitha's performance against this former top-20 player on her favorite surface ... Frankly I m not keeping any false hope for this match.

For 3rd Position -
India l South Korea 3-4

Goal Scored - Tushar Khandekar (IND) 12', Raghunath (IND) 28' PC and 70' PC and Kim (KOR) 16' PC & 68' PC, Hyun (KOR) 19' & 49'

Again we conceded goal in dying moments … Last few years we r facing same fate and our all coaches failed sorting out this problem ... So we ended these 2 weeks tour with pathetic performance ... Out of 8 games, we lost 5 and drew 2 and won only 1 game.

Other hand surprising performance from China ... They lost 8-9 in penalty strokes after drawing 2-2 ... They showed tremendous improvement in these 2 weeks tournaments.
