Sania lifts her 7th title of 2016 and overall 39th doubles title in New Haven ... She won the title partnering Romanian Monica Niculescu, they defeated Bondarenko and Chuang in cosely fought two sets.

(WC) Andre Begemann (GER)/ Leander Paes (IND) l Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP)/ Henri Kontinen (FIN) 46 67(6) 8-10

In this match Lee and Andre literally pulled defeat from jaws of victory ... Too many missed opportunities for Lee-Andre, in this match they had 15 break points and only 2 converted, from that 11 break points in the second set but our pair converted only 1 ... And then in second set tie-break they had 5 championship points at 6-1 but failed to convert ... In match tie-break their opponents had 33% 1st serve percentage which our players failed to take advantage.

In the first set our pair broke opponent in 3rd game, 2-1, and kept that advantage for winning this set ... In the second set Lee-Andre broke opponent in 1st game, 2-0, but Garcia-Lopez and Kontinen broke them in 8th game, 4-all ... In tie-break Lee-Andre took control with double mini-break but from 6-1 everything changed ... Garcia-Lopez and Kontinen made amazing comeback they won 7 points in a row after saving 5 championship points for winning second set ... In match tie-break they kept couple of points advantage form the start for winning it.

Sumit scored straight sets win over in-form Maxim Janvier in straight sets, Sumit snapped Maxim's 8 match winning streak ... Sumit won the first set with a single break ... In the second set Sumit broke Maxim in 7th game but while serving for the match in 10th game Sumit failed to hold, 5-all ... Sumit immediately broke Maxim in 11th and this time hold his serve for the victory ...
