Overall disappointing day as our archers, Shiva Thapa in boxing and our hockey team lost their respective matches.

Deepika Kumari failed to overcome strong challenge of Taipei's Ya-Ting Tan ... In this match Deepika managed only one 10 but other hand Tan scored six 10s.

Bombayla Devi also failed to overcome challenge of Mexican girl Alejandra Valencia and lost in four sets ... With that our challenge got over in women's archery.

In badminton expected results as our both pairs lost their respective matches against higher ranked opponent pairs ... In the singles winning start for Sindhu, Saina and Srikanth in contrasting fashion.

Indians lost in well fought match against Dutch side ... When last 6 seconds were remaining Indians received penalty corner and after that we received four more penalty corners but we failed to convert ... First half was little boring as we were only defending but action picked up in the second half ... Overall impressive performance by our boys ... Next match against Canada is important as that will decide standing for quarter-final.

Comprehensive win by Robeisy Eloy Ramirez against Shiva Thapa ... He was no match to Ramirez, who dominated from the start.

Anirban struggled on the golf course as he managed 74 only and SSP played better for completing round 71 ... But overall disappointing as top-25 managed 70 or lower and leader Marcus Fraser is leading by 11 strokes of Anirban.

USA dominated the proceedings throughout and end the group stage with four wins in four games, while India women r languishing at fifth with one point ... Another disappointing performance by Indian women hockey team.

In mixed doubles Sania-Rohan had a winning start against Aussie pair in straight sets ... Next they r having tricky match against WR #2 Andy Murray and his partner Heather Watson.
