Srikanth beats two time (current) Olympic champion and five time World champion Lin Dan to win China Open ... This is his first Superseries title and that also Superseries Premier title which having big winner cheque of $52,500 (approx. Rs. 32.5 lacs) ... Saina also win her maiden China open title beating 17 yrs old and current junior World champion Akane Yamaguchi in the final.
Srikanth played amazing match against 'Super' Dan in a final, early he take 9-5 lead but Dan catch with him at 15-all ... It was neck-and-neck till 19-all but Srikanth held his nerves to take the next two points and bag his first ever game against Dan ... The second game was more closely fought but Srikanth matched with greatest player for 15-all ... After that Srikanth raised his game for winning six of the next eight points and earn the biggest win of his career in 46 mins.
In women's final Saina dominated the first game against Akane for winning it comfortably ... Akane fought hard in the second gam she was leading 11-9 and 16-14 but Saina kept pressure on it ... Akane had a game point at 20-19 but Saina kept her nerves and win next three points for winning her second Superseries title of year in 42 mins ... In June she won the Australian Open Super Series title.
