On the last day of World Wrestling Championship Sandeep Yadav won the Bronze medal for India ... He won the second and third rounds on the points but in the quarter-final he lost in one-sided match against Korean wrestler Ryu ... Ryu went to win the Gold medal so Sandeep got chance of playing in Repechage ... He won closely fought bout against Swedish wrestler Sharur Vardanyan by 2 points and entered in the Bronze medal match ... In the Bronze medal match Sandeep didn't give a chance to his Serbian opponent with his defensive style ... Sandeep scored with a gut wrench in the second period and added a go-behind takedown from an under-arm spin to defeat 2012 European bronze medal winner Serbian Aleksandar Maksimovic ... Sandeep Yadav became India’s first medalist in Greco-Roman at a senior world championships.
