At Asia Cup Hockey Tournament 2013, Ipoh, Malaysia
Final
India l South Korea 3-4 (0-2)
Goal Scorers - Rupinderpal Singh PC 48', Nikin Thimmaiah 55', Mandeep Singh 66' and Jang Jong Hyun PC 28', You Hyo Sik 29', Nam Hyun Woo PS 57', Kang Moon Kweon PC 68'
Though we lost the final still I m very proud of this young Indian team for the way they kept fighting till end ... At the half-time they were 0-2 down but they fought back in the second half to made it 2-all ... Again Koreans take 3-2 lead this time also they equalized through excellent move by Birendra Lakra and then excellent pass by Ramandeep Singh to Mandeep ... But little clumsy tackle by Indians awarded Koreans another penalty corner and superb set-piece by Koreans gave them decisive lead when 2 minutes remaining ... In this match Indians tackles were sometime clumsy and Koreans were too good in set-piece ... Today they scored 3 goals from it but loved the way Indians fought back in this match ... This was their first loss in the tournament in crucial juncture ... Sreejesh was unlucky as before this match he conceded a single goal but in this match he conceded four goals ... Our young players Mandeep Singh, Malak Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Dharamveer Singh were impressive.
