Final
Sania Mirza (IND)/ Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) bt (4) Anna-Lena Groenefeld (GER)/ Kveta Peschke (CZE) 46 64 10-7

Sania Mirza won her 15th WTA doubles title with American Bethanie Mattek-Sands after upsetting 4th seeds Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and Czech Kveta Peschke at the Brisbane International ... This was the pair's third WTA doubles title together, after Cincinnati in 2007 and Brussels in 2012 - Also Bethanie Mattek-Sands now has 11 WTA doubles titles ... Terrific start for 2013 season for Sania.

After losing the first set Sania and Bethanie produced excellent comeback to lift title in a match tie-break.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands - "In the first week of a new season you're still kind of getting loose and getting match play in, but we were relaxed and played well this week in Brisbane. It's always fun with Sania. We're best friends and always get along really well, whether we're getting ready for matches or going for dinner. I'm feeling good right now and really looking forward to the rest of the season."

Will they play together all year?
Sania Mirza - "That's the plan. We get along great off the court. In tight situations that friendship really helps. You trust each other. She's my best friend on the tour. Hopefully we'll both be healthy in 2013. We always joke that we're done with injuries now."
