Goal Scored - Shivendra Singh (IND) 27' PC, Sandeep Singh (IND) 35' PC & 57' PC, Prabhjot Singh (IND) 37' and Sohail Abbas (PAK) 60' PC

Indian and Pakistani started match in good spirit ... Pakistani were using their fast break strategy ... But Indians were defending smartly and controlling the game in mid-field ... Indian received first penalty corner but Salman made excellent save but on 2nd penalty corner Sandeep Singh shot stopped by Salman by chest, Shivendra Singh jumped on the ball to score first goal of World cup from team India ... After few minutes Pakistan got their 1st penalty corner but Sohail Abbas shot hit crossbar ... Indian received 3rd penalty corner when 5 seconds were remaining of first half and Sandeep Singh scored hitting ball right side of Salman to gave India 2-0 lead at half-time ... In second half Indians had dream start ... They scored field goal through Prabhjot Singh in 2nd minute ... Then Pakistani had 2nd penalty corner and again Sohail's shot hit crossbar of Indian goal ... Indian got 4th penalty corner and again Sandeep Singh scored with powerful hit this time left of Pakistani goal-keeper Salman ... At last Sohail scored converting 4th penalty corner for Pakistan ... After that Pakistani tried to score more goals but Indians defended well ... Pakistan got 6 penalty corners and they converted one but we got 5 and utilised those opportunity scoring 3 goals ... Indian team were definetly better team on the field ... Great start for India, after long time we r getting such good winning start in major tournament.
