[QF] (WC) SIPAEYA Sunil Kumar (IND,539) bt (2) QURESHI Aisam-Ul-Haq (PAK,145) 36 76(5) 76(4)

[SF] (WC) SIPAEYA Sunil Kumar (IND,539) vs CAKL Tomas (CZE,325)

Its not a simple upset, Its more than that ... I think with this win Sunil definitely able to kill demon in his mind who doubt his own game ... Then this was win over in form player, who won Challenger last week ... Again this win against the player with whom our Indian players struggled until now with few exceptions ... Sunil also produced comeback in this match after losing first set ... And most importantly he won both tight sets in tie-breaks ... So problem of not finishing matches in third set also improving ... Simply great stuff.

With this win Sunil gathered very important 24 ranking points, which will help him to zoom inside top 435 ATP singles ranking.

[PQF] (13) Yuki Bhambri (IND,35) vs (2) Ricardo Berankis (LTU,2)

Terrific stuff from 15-year-old Yuki Bhambri to make the PQF in the prestigious Orange Bowl ... Really good match up for Yuki against current Junior US Open Champion ... Berankis had terrific 2007, where he reached semis of Junior Australian Open and Wimbledon ... And was quarter-finalist in Junior French Open.
