Atlast some good news for Indian Basketball ... BFI asking government for extension of India's Serbian coach Aleksander Bucan's contract by 2 1/2 yrs.
BFI also announced much awaited National Basketball League for men will begin from October 2008 with top 6 teams from ongoing Senior National Championships ... This National Basketball League will be played over a period of one month ... They r giving option to teams of choosing two players each from other state teams or overseas.
This is still short of Bucan's vision for a full-fledged professional league, but atleast some positive moves by BFI after long time.
