Ram lost in a close match against the top-50 ranked Malek Jaziri in more than 2 hours and 45 minutes match, their match ended after 1:00 am ... In the first set, Ramk broke Jaziri in the 2nd game to lead 2-0 but Jaziri immediately broke back for 2-1 ... After that two more times the same thing happened, but RamK won the tight tie-break for winning the first set ... In the second set, RamK missed an opportunities to finish this match in straight sets ... He had 4 break point chances which he failed to convert and lost the tie-break ... In the third set, Jaziri used his experience and was in the control from the start ... He won the match breaking Ram 3rd time in the set ... A good fighting performance by Ram as he used some different tactics of using backhand slicing against Jaziri.
Bala and Arjun failed to repeat the performance of their first-round win and lost in straight sets against the British pair.
