Japanese women proved too strong for Indians ... Only Sindhu managed to win her match and in Saina's absence it was difficult to expect any other win in the singles ... We tried Ashwini in the third singles but that didn't help ... In the doubles, both top-10 Japanese pairs proved better for our pairs ... In the quarters, our team will be facing Indonesian girls.
Due to some injury issues we failed to play regular players in this tie and that cost us ... Against Indonesia, Srikanth lost in the first match against Christie ... In next match, Satwik-Chirag scored a comeback win over their higher ranked opponents after losing the first game ... Sai defeated top-10 player Ginting in the straight game and gave 2-1 lead to India ... But after that, Arjun and Ram lost against higher ranked Indonesian players after winning the first game and Sumeeth was no match to top-40 Indonesian player ... This loss put us in a tough match against China.
