In closely contested match India beat Pakistan 4-2 in penalty-shootout to win the hockey gold at the Asian Games in Incheon after 16 years ... This win also ensures the Indian hockey team a berth at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Indian team started slowly and Pakistan take advantage scoring early lead ... In the first period Indians failed to enter in Pakistan D till end of the period ... At that time SV Sunil missed sitter in front of goal ... In the second period Indians were increasing pressure on Pakistan goal and equalized through Kothajit Singh ... In next two periods both teams played keenly contested match but failed to score despite creating numerous chances ... In the one-on-one shoot-off, our goal-keeper P R Sreejesh produced breathtaking saves to deny Pakistan's Abdul Haseem Khan and Muhammad Umar Butta ... Muhammad Waqas and Shafqat Rasool scored the goals for Pakistan ... For India Akashdeep Singh, Rupinder Pal Singh, Birendra Lakra and Dhramvir Singh scored and Manpreet Singh failed to convert.

In Women's 4x400m Relay, Indian girls comfortably win the Gold bettering game record ... This is our 4th Asian Gold in a row in Women's 4x400m Relay ... In Men's shot-put Inderjeet Singh wins Bronze medal with throw of 19.63m

Indian boxers ended their campaign with five medals as Vikas Krishan and Satish Kumar settled for bronze medals after losing their semi-final bouts against respective opponents ... In the Superheavyweight (+91 kg) category, Satish was no match for 6ft 9 inch Kazakh giant Ivan Dychko, who won with a clear 3-0 verdict in all the rounds ... In the middleweight (75 kg) category Vikas lost against current World Champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly of Kazakhstan by split verdict of 2-1 ... Putting an end to the status of the bronze medal won by Indian boxer Sarita Devi, the Olympic Council of Asia on Thursday reinstated her medal in the 60kg category after a hearing with India's Asian Games contingent officials in Incheon.

Indian Kabaddi teams are on course of defending their Gold medals ... Both teams r facing Iranian team for Gold medal.
