Dream debut for Divij-Purav as a pair, they lifted their first ATP tour title in their first ATP tournament at Colombia open defeating 2nd seed Roger-Vasselin-Sijsling in entertaining match ... Divij-Purav fought hard against big serving Dutch-French pair in this 1 hour and 30 minutes match ... In this match Divij-Purav saved eight break points from eleven they faced and broke opponent's serve three times from five chances ... In the first set until 7th game both pairs were holding their serves though Indian saved break points in 4th game ... Roger-Vasselin-Sijsling broke Purav in 8th game to lead 5-3 but immediately our pair broke them to make it 4-5 ... In tie-break both pairs traded early mini-breaks but from 3-3 our pair won next 3 points and in that they take double mini-break lead ... Roger-Vasselin-Sijsling saved one set point taking mini-break back on Divij's serve but our pair won next point on Divij's serve for winning this set ... In the second set Roger-Vasselin-Sijsling broke Purav's serve in 1st game but again our pair broke Sijsling's serve in 2nd game and made it 1-all ... Divij-Purav again broke Sijsling in 6th game to lead 4-2 ... Roger-Vasselin-Sijsling made excellent comeback from 2-5, they broke Purav when he was serving for the match in 9th game to make it 4-5 ... Again this set went into tie-break but this time our pair take control early and completed memorable victory.
This title win gained them 250 ranking points and $17500 each (Rs. 10.5 lacs) as prize money ... In tomorrow's ranking updated Purav will jump inside top 90 and Divij will enter into top 70 ... This is a big step for qualifying for US open.
