In the first set Rutuja broke So-Ra in 1st game but after that she lost next 5 games in that So-Ra broke her 3 times ... From 1-5 down Rutuja won next 2 games but lost the first set ... In the second set Rutuja was 2-0 up with early break but again lost next 4 games ... But this time Rutuja broke back to make it 5-all ... In tie-break both players traded early mini-break but after 3-all Rutuja take next 3 points to lead 6-3 and then converted 2nd set point for winning this set ... In the third set Rutuja broke So-Ra twice to lead 3-0 but So-Ra fought back winning next 4 games to lead ... Again Rutuja showed her fighting spirit and won next 3 games to complete big victory of her career ... This win earned her 22 ranking points and $2000 ... Next is big test for Rutuja against 7th seed and 18 yrs old Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
Prarthana Thombare started positively and won the first set against Liu ... From the second set Liu take control ... She broke Prarthana twice to win the second set ... In the third set Liu take early break in 1st game and kept that advantage to win this match despite big efforts from Prarthana ... Good match for Prarthana but failed to upset in this 2 hours 30 mins match.
