Soumya was unlucky to face Harika in the first round ... After drawing the first game playing with White Somya lost the second game with Black against more experienced Harika ... Harika continued with her good form in the second round and won against her teammate of Armenian club “Mika” Elina Danielian ... Harika won the first game with white and then drew the second game.

Humpy started with convincing win over South African Denise Frick in the first round ... But lower rated Ukrainian Natalia Zhukova upset her in the second round ... Playing with White Humpy made blunders in the middle of the game and lost 1st game in 37 moves ... In the second game Humpy take too much risk for a win playing with Black but Natalia kept her focus and won this game also in 43 moves.
