In freestyle 66kg category Olympic bronze medalist Sushil Kumar failed to won bronze medal after losing bronze medal match to Japanese wrestler 0-3.

But Ramesh Kumar won bronze medal in freestyle 74kg category defeating Moldovan wrestler Alexandr Burca 2-1 ... This is our only 3rd medal at World champiuonship before this we won 1 bronze medal in 1960 and 1 silver in 1967.
