India bt England 4-3

Goal Scored - Arjun Halappa (IND) 35' PC, Dhananjay Mahadhik (IND) 41' PC, Rajpal Singh (IND) 43', Gurvinder Chandi (IND) 66' and Ashely Jackson (ENG) 22' PC & 69' PC, Jonty Clarke (ENG) 26'

In exciting match Indian team defeated English team in closely fought contest ... England started well dominating early part of match leading 2-0 but Indian fought back with speed and skill and scored their first goal in dying seconds of first half ... In second half Indians take lead scoring 2 goals in 3 minutes ... After that English side tried hard but were unlucky, Indian side take advantage of counter attack to increased their lead to 2 goals ... But again English side showed their never-die-attitude to scored another goal when 2 minutes remaining ... But Indian side defended well to level the series ... Goalkeeper Adrian D’Souza was impressive under the net as in this match also we conceded too many penalty corners, 9.

Adrian D’Souza - “It feels good to have leveled the series tonight and to make the saves I did against a side with the quality that England has was great.”

India’s Spanish coach Jose Brasa - “We’re not worried about the result tonight. We haven’t come here to win, we’ve come to learn. They are trying new things that they are not used to. In the second half, we gave the players more confidence to play how they know.”
