Davis Cup Group I, Asia/Oceania 2009,

Chinese Taipei defeated Kazakhstan 4-1, so in next month, 06 Mar - 08 Mar 2009, we r facing them in second round of Group I, Asia/Oceania ... Venue of the tie will be decide on the coin, but as per latest indication we r playing at Taiwan ... mSo mostly tie will be on the clay and if Prakash is not in the team then Rohan will be added to play singles with Somdev.

As expected Prakash Amritraj first-time manage to break top-200 barrier in singles after reaching singles semi-final at Dallas Challenger ... He is also reached personal best doubles ranking with title win at same challenger.

On 9th February 2009 ATP ranking list,

Prakash Amritraj is on 199th position in ATP singles ranking with 407 ranking points and
he is on 167th position in ATP doubles ranking with 649 ranking points.

Ashutosh Singh also reached his personal best doubles ranking, i.e. 153rd with 699 points.

At $5.3M Buick Invitational - Final Standing

T53 Arjun Atwal 72 74 74 72 +4 $ 12,269.50

Arjun played PAR last round to finish T53 ... Arjun had bad start scoring bogeys on 1st and 3rd round, but he came back strongly scoring birdies on 5th, 6th and 9th holes ... Then another back to back bogeys on 14th and 15th take his score to +1 for the day ... In end he managed birdie on Par-5 18th hole to end day on even ... This was his best course on the south course as in last 2 rounds he had identical +2 rounds.

Arjun is making birdies, now he need to bring control on numerous bogeys ... But Arjun is showing improvement after every tournament ... Next week Arjun is playing with Daniel Chopra and Vijay Singh at AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament.
