At 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament, Ipoh, Malaysia
India bt Canada 3-1
Goal Scored - Diwakar Ram (IND) 45' PS & 51' PC, Shivendra Singh (IND) 53' and Wayne Fernandez (CAN) 9' PC
Today India managed to score comeback victory over Canada, who were leading by 1 goal after half-time ... Sandeep Singh was out due to right knee injury in first-half ... His injury looks serious.
In second-half Diwakar Ram scored 2 goals, one through penalty stroke and second through penalty corner ... Shivendra Singh scored third goal.
Overall disappointing performance as we managed to control the game but usual unnecessarily losing possessions, mis-hits and faulty trapping were continue.
Canada had 2 penalty corners and they converted 1, other hand we had 9 but we also managed to convert only 1.
We r having youngest team in the tournament with average age of 20.5 yrs.
