Another young Indian shooter, 23 yrs old Vijay Kumar, won silver medal in on going ISSF World Cup at Beiing ... He qualified for the final on 4th place and in the final round he scored highest points to missed Gold medal by 0.1 point ... Still creditable performance by this young shooter.

Before this another Indian young shooter, 19 yrs old Heena Sidhu, won Silver medal in 10M Air Pistol event ... She qualified for the final on 5th place but scored highest points in final round to finished 2nd behind China's Jun Hu.

At ISSF World Cup 2009, Chongwon, Korea
Gagan Narang won gold in the men's 50 metre rifle 3 position (Prone, Standing, Kneeling)and with that he became first Indian to win 2 medals in same ISSF World Cup ... Gagan earlier won the bronze medal in 10 mtrs air rifle event ... He also became first Indian to reached finals of 3 events in single ISSF World Cup, before this he narrowly missed medal in the free rifle prone event where he finished 4th.

Gagan shot 1166 in the qualification round and 98 in the final to aggregate 1264 points to captured gold, he was 5th after qualification round.

Gagan Narang, Abhinav Bindra and Ronjan Sodhi r in the top 10 of latest rankings issued by the International Shooting Federation (ISSF).

After his World record-breaking performances in the recent World Cup finals, Gagan Narang has moved up 3 places in the men’s 10m air rifle to be sixth in the latest rankings.

Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra managed to remain to his second place in Men's 10m Air Rifle.

Double trap shooter Ronjan Sodhi retained the 10th spot.
