Excited to see our 11 boxers from 13 boxers (all categories) r still in a chance of capturing Olympic quota places ... All boxers are one win away fro a direct qualification.
Some interesting results, our main hope Amit Panghal had a tough draw as he faced a Mangolian Kharkhüügiin Enkhmandakh ... In their last bout at Military World Games, he lost against Enkhmandakh ... Here, Amit started aggressively and scored a lot of points in counter-attacking in the first 2 rounds, but Kharhuu put pressure in the final round but Amit prevailed in this close bout.
In men Middleweight, Ashish Kumar created an upset after convincingly beating the 4th seed Kyrgyzstani boxer, Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu.
In women Featherweight, Sakshi Chaudhary created an upset after beating the 4th seed Thai boxer, Nilawan Techasuep.
