The Indian team is in a tough group with China and Malaysia in the Sudirman Cup.
A disappointing loss of our team against the depleted Malaysian team ... In his comeback match on the big stage, Satwik started with an upset win over a higher ranked Malaysian pair partnering Ashwini ... They lost the first game but fought back to win the second ... In the third game, our pair opened 12-8 lead but the Malaysian pair made it 12-all ... After that, our pair had 2-3 points lead but from 16-19 down Malaysian pair fought back and won next 4 points ... Our pair saved match points at 19-20 and 21-22 before converting the 2nd match point and gave a winning start for Indians ... Sindhu scored a comfortable win over Goh.
Sameer's straight games loss against a lower-ranked Zii Jia Lee cost us the match ... As in the men's doubles and the women's doubles, our both pairs lost against their Malaysian opponents.
