India ended their campaign with a Gold, a Silver and 2 Bronze medals in the AIBA Women's World Championship.

The legendary Mary Kom lifted her sixth World Championship gold medal and overall the 7th World Championship medal ... The last time she won the Gold medal in 2010, so after 8 yrs she managed to win another gold medal ... She won the gold medals in the 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2018 World Championships ... Here, she won all her bouts showing her experience ... In the final bout, she defeated Ukrainian boxer, Hanna Okhota.

The young Sonia Chahal won a Silver as she lost the final against the superior German boxer, Ornella Wahner ... Before that, she had good wins over boxers from America and Colombia.

We won two Bronze medals by Simranjit Kaur and Lovlina Borgohain in their weight categories ... Simranjit scored good wins against Irish and American boxers.
Also impressed with a performance from a young boxer Manisha Maun in Bantamweight (54 kg) category ... She had a tough draw, she defeated the World Championship bronze medalist, American boxer Christina Cruz in the round of 32 ... Then defeated the regaining World champion, Kazakh boxer Dina Zholaman in the round of 16 ... But lost against the Bulgarian boxer in the quarters ... So Manisha is another boxer from whom we can expect a medal in the major events.
