Gold - Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (IND) (86+110) 196 kg (CGR)
Silver - Marie Hanitra Roilya Ranaivosoa (MRI) (76+94) 170 kg
Bronze - Dinusha Gomes (SRI) (70+85) 155 kg
Weightlifting - Men's 56 kg
Gold - Azroy Hazalwafie (MAS) (117+144) 261 kg (GR)
Silver - Gururaja Poojary (IND) (111+138) 249 kg
Bronze - Chaturanga Lakmal (SRI) (114+134) 248 kg
As expected, Mirabai Chanu won Gold creating new Commonwealth record in Women's 48 kg weightlifting ... She was a lot better lifter than other lifters and lifted 26 kg more weight than the second place lifter ... Before that, Gururaja gave a first medal to India in 2018 Commonwealth Games, when he won Silver in Men's 56 kg weightlifting.
So after first day, India is on 7th position with a gold and a silver.
