At TOTAL BWF World Championships 2017, Glasgow, Scotland
(4) Pusarla V. Sindhu (IND,4) l (7) Nozomi Okuhara (JPN,12) 19-21 22-20 20-22
Take a bow Sindhu, we r very proud of your performance and your Silver medal!
After losing the first game Sindhu showed her desire and kept fighting ... She managed to win the second game on her 4th game point, which she won after 73 shots rally after Okuhara saved 3 game points ... In the final game, Sindhu was up 19-17 but then credit should go to Japanese girl Okuhara, who showed heart to fight back winning next 3 points and converted 2nd match point for World Championship ... This match turned into the longest women's match in World Championship, 1 hour 50 minutes.
For me, a turning point of the match when Sindhu lost 11-5 advantage in the first game to lose the game because after that Okuhara always kept Sindhu under pressure ... In the final game, Sindhu was trying catching game as she was more tired on the court.
