Turn to be terrific day for us as two titles for India as Saina and Srikanth both lift singles titles at Indian Superseries ... So these are first Indian superseries titles for Saina and Srikanth ... Both players win $20,625 winner cheque respectively ... And second time in Superseries tournament two singles titles for us after last year's China open, there also Saina and Srikanth were winners.
Saina gave clinical performance for winning in straight games against Ratchanok ... She always was in control and leading by minimum four points through out the match ... In the first game Ratchanok saved four game points before Saina converted fifth game point ... In the second game Ratchanok tried aggressive game but failed to show consistency ... Other hand Saina played to her strength with cross-court jabs, net game and powerful smashes to complete victory.
Srikanth won their previous meeting at Swiss open but here he started tentatively ... He made uncharacteristic errors on smashes hitting in the net or outside court ... Couple of time he made bad line judgement ... Viktor took advantage to win first game ... In the second game from start Sri took control and was leading 11-4 at side change ... He kept that lead for winning the second game ... In the third game both players were neck to neck from the start ... On side change Viktor was leading 11-9 ... From 10-12 Srikath won next 11 points for winning his second Superseries title ... In that a point at 12-all was turning point ... Srikath hit cross-court smash for winning the rallies and Viktor asked review ... Review came in Sri's favor as shuttle kisses side line ... After Victor lost his concentration and made numerous errors which helped Srikanth ... This win help Sri to come near Lin Dan for WR #3 rank ... Also in this match Srikanth one smash measure at 402 kmph.
