In bizzare 8th round four matches had result ... The leader Karjakin lost against Svidler but more shocking result created by Chinese GM Wang Hao, who take advantage of misplay by Carlsen in end game and defeated WR #1 after long 79 moves ... Nakamura also scored win over struggling Radjabov ... In Gruenfeld opening Anand played very attacking game and scored victory in 45 moves where he sacrificed three pawns and a knight ... After this round Anand was only 1/2 point behind leader Karjakin with Carlsen.
In the final round Anand tried for a win but instead he blundered on 14 move and gave big win for Chinese GM Wang Hao in 38 moves ... This loss pushed him down on 6th position in the final standing ... Nakamura finished on 3rd position with another win.
