(7) Sania Mirza (IND)/ Elena Vesnina (RUS) l Andrea Hlavackova (CZE)/ Lucie Hradecka (CZE) 46 36
Elena started with serve but Czech pair take first break in 3rd game breaking Sania's serve ... Czech pair again broke Elena's serve in 5th game and were leading 1-5 ... Elena was struggling with her game and was making numerous unforced errors ... Then in 8th game Czech pair had 3 set points at 0-40 but after that our pair did mini comeback ... They saved all set points and broke Andrea Hlavackova's serve in 8th game ... In 9th game despite 2 doubles faults Elna manged to hold serve after deuce ... In 10th game our pair saved another set point but Hlavackova served well to win the first set ... The second set started with Elena failed to hold her serve, she was making too many unforced errors ... Again our pair broke Andrea Hlavackova's serve on luv in 4th game but again Elena failed to hold her serve in 5th game ... In 7th game Sania hold after numerous deuce ... Again our pair had couple of break points Andrea Hlavackova's serve but failed to convert it ... Czech pair again broke Elena's serve converting 2nd match point to complete the victory ... Today Elena was off-color and Czech pair take full advantage of it to won first grand slam title in the first final.
Dream French Open for unseeded Czech pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka ... They won the title without losing a single set ... In the first round they defeated 8th seed Czech pair Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova ... In the quarter-final they defeated in-form 2nd seed pair Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik ... In semi-final they defeated 3rd seed pair Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova, who were 16-0 run before this match in grand slams winning 2010 US Open and 2011 Australian Open titles ...
