At 2010 Wimbledon Championship, London, England
Mixed Doubles Final
(2) Leander Paes (IND)/ Cara Black (ZIM) bt (11) Wesley Moodie (RSA)/ Lisa Raymond (USA) 64 76(5)
Leander won his 6th Mixed Doubles grandslam and overall 12th graandslam in 23 grandslam finals after winning 2010 Wimbledon mixed doubles final ... Leander created another piece of Wimbledon history by becoming only the second man to win Wimbledon titles in three different decades, before this legendary Rod Lever won it in 3 different decades; 1950s, 1960s and 1970s ... Leander won mens doubles title with Mahesh Bhupathi and mixed doubles title with Lisa Raymond in 1999, then won mixed doubles title with Martina Navratilova in 2003 and now in 2010 won another mixed doubles title with Cara Black.
In first set both pairs were making lots of errors and double faults but some energetic game by Cara helped them to capture first set ... In second set Lee and Cara were in trouble in 8th game on Cara's serve but they hold that game after some dog-fight .. Then in tie-break Cara and Lee were down 3-5 but then they won 4 straight points, where Lee served an ace on match point to finish straight sets victory in 1 hour 38 mins.
After reaching his first quarter-final at grandslam Rohan climbed to his career best doubles ranking, #38 ... His partner Aisam also climb to his career best doubles ranking, #37.

[R1] Somdev Devvarman (IND,103) vs Kevin Kim (USA,142)
Only Somi is playing at Newport ... I think Rohan and Aisam decide to skip this tournament after their quarter-final run at Wimbledon, so nobody r in doubles draw ... Also surprisingly Kash is also missing, hoping not another injury scare.
Somi is facing experienced American Kevin Kim in the first round ... Last year at Chennai Open Somi defeated Kim in straight sets, 63 63, but later at Charlottesville Challenger final Somi lost against him in 3 sets, 46 76(8) 46 ... Hopefully Somi will continue to keep his upper-hand on Kim on ATP tour.
