At French Open 2009,

[Q3] (26) Somdev Devvarman (IND,138) l (3) Marcos Daniel (BRA,96) 06 16

Som lost in one-sided match against Brazilian No. 1 winning only 1 game in the match in 58 minutes ... After reaching final qualifying round Som increased hopes of his followers but he couldn't do much against his superior clay court opponent ... Daniel didn't give any chance to Som in this match.

But considering his first French Open qualifying I would say satisfying performance to reached final qualifying but in that match scoreline was distrubing.
