At qualification tournament in Martigny, Switzerland, Rajiv Tomar qualified for the Beijing Olympics winning silver in the 120 kg freestyle category.

He is joined Sushil Kumar (66 kg freestyle) and Yogeshwar Dutt (60 kg freestyle), Sushil qualified for Beijing in the World championship in Baku (Azerbaijan) in September 2007 and Dutt made entry in the Asian Championship in Jeju City, South Korea in March 2008.
