RamK becomes the first Indian player to reach the final of ATP tournament after Somedev's final appearance in Johannesburg ATP in 2011 ... This title win would see him to break voodoo of the singles title for India as last singles title won by Leander Paes exactly 20 years ago in Newport in 1998 ... Ramanathan, who is projected to rise inside top-120 in the ATP Rankings, would make his Top 100 debut in the ATP Rankings with a title win.

Against Smyczek, Ramk started calmely and won the first set with a single break ... In the second set, Smyczek tried hard to break RamK's rhythm ... RamK broke him the 3rd game to lead 2-1, but after that Smyczek broke RamK in the 4th and the 6th games to lead 2-4 ... RamK immediately broke in the 7th game, 3-4, after that both players held their respective service games ... RamK took a crucial break in the 11th game and then served huge to held his serve comfortably to win this match ...
