Sasi is participating in Bosnia 2006 International Grandmasters Chess tournament ... He is 2nd seeded behind top seeded GM Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu of Romania ... The event is being played on a double round basis between six players under Fide’s time control of 90 minutes for the entire game with a 30 seconds increment after every move is made.
But in first round, match between top two seeds, Nisipeanu defeated Sasi and gave a big setback to Sasikiran’s quest to cross the 2700 Elo barrier.
After first round at Bosnia 2006 International Grandmasters Chess tournament-
Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu (ROM) - 1 pt
Magnus Carlsen (Nor) - 0.5 pts
Vladimir Malakhov (Rus) 0.5 pts
Arkadij Naiditsch (Ger) 0.5 pts
Borki Predojevic (Bih) 0.5 pts
K. Sasikiran (Ind) 0 pts
Putting my efforts to support Indian players with publishing their results for fans all over the world and also for benefit of media people.
