The Tal Memorial is the strongest tournament of the year and at category 21 (average Elo 2764) one of the strongest of all time ... It is a 10 players round robin with classical time controls – 40 moves in two hours, then 20 moves in one hour and then 15 minutes for in this phase.
After 4 rounds Kramnik take lead with 2 wins but Anand joined him at top spot with 5th game victory over Leko ... Now both having 3 pts ... Anand-Leko was a Semi-Slav in which the Anand made a novel 22 move ... Which was very difficult for Leko to work out and then his position steadily deteriorated ... He resignation at move 45 ... In 6th round Anand is playing with Blacks against Magnus Carlsen.
