These days our Indian players r playing exceptionally well ... This time Arvind produced stunning result beating Danish WR #8 Joachim Persson in 29 mins ... Very solid straight games victory in which he controlled match from the start, in second round he is facing local player ... Chetan also scored win in 3 games but having tough Chinese opponent, WR #3, in the next round ... Saina also started well finishing her match in tight 2 games, now she will face Korean qualifier in second round.

In Women Category - Indian Women ended on Rank 15 with 25 points (seeding 11)

In Women Board 5 category our Mary Ann Gomes won a Silver medal ... This is creditable performance by 19 yrs old Mary Ann Gomes ... She managed to score 6 pts from 8 games and that will help her to gain 21 ELO rating points.
