Huge upset by our boys over 4th seed Brazil on red clay ... The top team from each group moves into the Semifinal to play for positions 1-4 ... So tomorrow's match against Egypt will be important.
Here is match report -
It was a day of nerves for Indian Boys on the opening day of the World Junior Tennis Final at Prostejov, Czech Republic but ultimately came out victorious in style. India created the biggest upset in the opening day beating 4th seed Brazil 2-1 in closely contested tie.
Digvijaysingh Mehta gave a rousing start to India by winning the first singles. Brazil’s No. 1 player was a tough nut when he beat Indian No. 1 Ronit Bisht in the second singles. One all in the tie, the doubles was a dramatic affair with Brazil winning the fist set in a tie break and serving for the tie at 5-4 with two match points at 40-15. One winner from Digvijay and a forced error on Brazil brought India back into the tie and from there it was no stopping for India. We won the set 7-5 and were in complete control of the third set which our boys won 6-2 with two service breaks.

Sunil started with comeback win over higher rank player ... This type of win definetly help him to believe more on himself and his game ... Japanese Toshihide Matsui scored upset win over 4th seed Ivo Klec, so Sunil's draw is wide open ... Now interesting to see if he takes advantage of it.
And another splendid performance by Yuki against almost 1000 higher ranks player ... After losing first set he showed heart to won 2nd but from score in third he mostly struggled with stamina so couldn't produced fight like first 2 sets ... But simply amazing performance by this 16 yrs kid.
