Shooting News -

Sanjeev Rajput became the seventh Indian shooter to win a berth for next year's Beijing Olympic Games in the men's 50m rifle 3 position event at the ISSF World Cup at Fort Benning, USA ... Rajput put up his best effort (also National record) by firing 1170 pts out of 1200 pts (Prone 395 pts, Standing 384 pts, Kneeling 391 pts) but finished on 11th position ... He was awarded the quota place because top ten finishers had already qualified for Olympics.

So Sanjeev Rajput joined Gagan Narang, Abhinav Bindra, Anjali Bhagwat and Avneet Kaur Sidhu in rifle events and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Manavjeet Singh in the double trap and trap shotgun events, who r already qualified for Olympics.
